Making a reservation by phone is probably the quickest, surest way to get the room you want. We can be reached toll free from the US at 1-877-766-BLUE (2583) or locally (337) 234-2422. Be prepared to give your credit card number and the expiration date.  If you don't use a credit card, we'd expect a deposit for the first night's stay via snail mail (money orders only) at least 7 days prior to your arrival date.   Please send us an e-mail to info@bluemoonhostel.com to inquire about reservations. Be sure to include the following: 1. Full name of guest 2. Number of people in your party 3. Which room(s) you are requesting    (please list your 1st, 2nd & 3rd room choices | see Room Rates & Descriptions) 4. Date of arrival 5. Final date you plan to stay with us 6. Total number of nights If you can get us a reservation by carrier pigeon, balloon, or any other interesting method....hey, impressive - you'll probably get to stay free!   Walk-Ups are whole-heartedly welcome, but to ensure that you get exactly the room you want you should contact us in advance. Individual hostel beds: Credit card or money order guaranteed reservations are NORMALLY  NOT NECESSARY unless it's during one of the festivals listed below.  (It's nice to know to expect you though, so give us a call if you can.) Private rooms/groups: Credit card or money order guaranteed reservations ARE RECOMMENDED at all times, and are necessary during festivals.    festival times 1. Mardi Gras (February / March, Fri before thru mardi gras night)  5-night minimum stay 2. Festival International (3rd weekend in April, Wed thru Sunnight)  5-night minimum stay 3. Festivals Acadiens (3rd weekend in September, Fri thru Sunnight)  3-night minimum stay 4. Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival (First full weekend in May) 3-night minimum stay A credit card number will be taken to guarantee the reservation.  Then we ask for people to pay the full amount a month in advance by check or money order. If you prefer to not use a credit card,  a deposit of the full amount before taxes will guarantee the reservation (via money order received at least 30 days prior to arrival date). If less than 2-day notice, you will be charged one night's stay. festival time cancellations  We require a 30-day notice to avoid all penalties.  With less than 30-day notice, you will be charged for the FULL AMOUNT.
